Shell Casserole

1 pound lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cups hot water
2 teaspoons beef bouillon
2 tablespoons red wine
6 ounces large shell pasta
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 cup sour cream

In skillet, cook ground beef and onion until meat is brown and onion is tender; drain. Place in crockpot. Stir in salt, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce and flour. Add water, bouillon and wine; mix well. Cover and cook on LOW for 2 to 3 hours.

Meanwhile, cook macaroni according to package directions. Add cooked macaroni, mushrooms and sour cream to crockpot; stir to mix ingredients. Cover and cook on HIGH for 10 to 15 minutes.

Mexican Hamburger Casserole

6 to 8 servings

1 pound ground beef
3 cups corn chips, divided
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (10 ounce) cream of mushroom soup
1 (10 ounce) can tomatoes and green chiles (Ro-tel)
2 cups grated cheese

Brown ground beef and drain off fat. Mix well with undiluted mushroom soup and tomatoes and chiles.

Line bottom of crockpot with 1 cup of corn chips. Add 1/3 of onion, sprinkle with 1/3 of grated cheese and add 1/3 of meat mixture. Repeat layers. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours or on HIGH for 3 hours.

      Salmon and Potato Casserole

      Source: Rival

      4 potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
      3 tablespoons flour
      Salt and pepper
      1 (16 ounce) can salmon, drained and flaked
      1 medium onion, chopped
      1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
      1/4 cup water
      Nutmeg

      Place half of the potatoes in greased crockpot. Sprinkle with half of the flour, salt and pepper. Cover with half the salmon; sprinkle with half the onion. Repeat layers in order. Combine soup and water. Pour over potato-salmon mixture. Dust with nutmeg. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 10 hours.

          Wild West Casserole

          1 onion, chopped
          1 1/2 pounds ground chuck, browned and drained
          6 medium potatoes. sliced
          1 can red beans
          1 can tomatoes mixed with 2 tablespoons flour or 1 can tomato soup
          Salt
          Pepper
          Garlic

          Put chopped onion in the bottom of the crockpot; layer with browned ground beef, sliced potatoes, and beans. Spread tomato mixture or soup over all. Sprinkle with seasonings as desired. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hours.

              Pizza Casserole

              1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
              1/2 cup chopped onion
              1/4 cup chopped green olives
              1 cup fresh sliced mushrooms (canned if you prefer)
              1 teaspoon salt
              1/8 teaspoon oregano
              1/4 teaspoon pepper
              1 (12 ounce) package thin egg noodles
              2 (10 ounce) cans pizza sauce
              1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
              1 cup milk
              1 cup sliced pepperoni
              1 (8 ounce) package (or more) shredded mozzarella cheese

              Brown hamburger with onions, olives, mushrooms and spices. Turn into a 4 quart baking dish. Cook noodles as directed and drain.

              Combine noodles and the beef mixture with all remaining ingredients except the cheese. Sprinkle cheese over the top. Bake covered at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes, and then bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes.

              32 ounces frozen hash browns
              1 pound ham, extra lean, cooked and cubed
              1 medium onion, diced
              1 medium green bell pepper, diced
              1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey jack or cheddar cheese
              12 eggs
              1 cup skim milk
              1 teaspoon salt
              1 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste

              Spray the inside of the crockpot with nonstick spray. Place a layer of frozen potatoes on the bottom of the crockpot. Add layers of ham, onions, green peppers and cheese, in the order listed. Repeat the layering process two or three times, ending with a layer of cheese. Beat the eggs, milk, salt and pepper together. Pour over the mixture inside the crockpot, cover and turn on LOW. Cook for 10 to 12 hours, or overnight, and enjoy for breakfast or brunch the next day.

              Makes 8-10 servings.
